Launching of the Healthy Campus Program of the Universitas Indonesia

On Friday, 4 October 2019, Universitas Indonesia launch the Healthy Community and Campus Program. The program was inaugurated at the Faculty of Medicine Universitas Indonesia by Mr. Muhammad Yusuf Kalla, the Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia together with the Rector of UI, Professor Muhammad Anis, the representative of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia, attended by the Deans of the Faculties of the Universitas Indonesia and other honorary guests.

The launching ceremony at UI was meant to set out a national initiative by the Indonesian Ministry of Health, which will be piloted in four universities, Universitas Indonesia in Jakarta and West Java, Universitas Andalas in West Sumatera, Universitas Sebelas Maret in Central Java and Muhammadiyah University in Yogyakarta. The program was developed based on the AUN Healthy University Framework, which consisted of several activities, such as the implementation of zero tolerance area (including tobacco, drugs, alcohol), healthy and sustainable environment, curriculum which enhance health promotion among students, health promotion activities targeted to all the universities member and community, as well as capacity building on health promotion.
