Over the past few months, AUN-QA has proactively adopted steps to respond to the new realities of the COVID-19 world. In recognising the need to embrace digital transformation in countering the series of disruptions brought by the pandemic, AUN-QA Assessors has adapted to the shift from conducting on-site local assessments to online assessments beginning September 2020. Today, we are happy to announce that a total of 17 online assessments have been completed as of the end of the year 2020!

In December 2020 alone, AUN-QA has organised 4 online assessments with universities from Vietnam, Indonesia, and Malaysia, namely:

  • Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam: 30 Nov - 4 Dec 2020
  • State Islamic University Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta, Indonesia: 7-11 Dec 2020
  • Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember, Indonesia: 14-18 Dec 2020
  • Universiti Utara Malaysia, Malaysia: rescheduled from the initial period of 26-30 Oct 2020 to 16-18 and 21-22 Dec 2020

In following month of January in 2021, we may also look forward to 2 scheduled assessment at the following universities:

  • Universitas Negeri Padang, Indonesia: 11-15 Jan 2021
  • Ton Duc Thang University, Vietnam: 25-29 Jan 2021

Undoubtedly, this would not have been possible without the continuous efforts by the AUN-QA Assessors and member universities. Indeed, whilst the year 2020 has been a challenging year with the coronavirus crisis taking centre stage, AUN-QA is set to emerge stronger than before with its streamlined online assessments, so let us look forward to another year of working together to further strengthen and improve the quality of higher education in Southeast Asia and beyond!
