Meet Saigon Technology University, a member of the AUN-QA Family

Saigon Technology University (STU) is a technical university located in Ho Chi Minh City, Viet Nam. Founded in September 1997, the university has welcomed more than 38,000 students, granted almost 30,000 degrees to qualified engineers and bachelor graduates, as well as approximately 30 master’s graduates in Viet Nam.

The university’s educational philosophy is ‘Quality - Responsibility - Integrity - Cooperation - Creation’. The main goal and vision that the university wishes that their graduates would obtain are knowledge, professionalism, creative working ability, independent & quick thinking, good English competence as well as good capability in research and working.

Currently, STU has 367 academic and support staff, along with an average intake of 6000 students annually. Their curriculums are mainly constructed through technology orientation, updating the latest knowledge and placing great emphasis on practical knowledge.

To ensure that their education programmes are of the highest quality, the university decided to join the AUN-QA Network in 2017 as an AUN-QA Associate Member. STU has been preparing to have their programmes assessed by the AUN-QA by joining the AUN-QA Trainings as well as applying for the AUN-QA Programme Assessment. Recently, the university conducted their first ever AUN-QA Programme Assessment on 12 - 16 October 2020, with one programme assessed - Food Technology.
