11th AUN-QA Tier 1 Training: The Fine-tuning of Onsite Operation Concluded The Year 2022

The 11th AUN-QA Training Course for Accomplishing Programme Assessment (AUN-QA Tier 1 Training), Version 4.0, held in Bangkok with participants of various backgrounds from Indonesia, the Philippines, Thailand, and Viet Nam, successfully concluded the last Tier 1 training conducted this year. The AUN-QA Tier 1 Training Batch 11 continued to provide opportunities for participants who were interested in quality assurance in the fields of higher education through the AUN-QA Framework.

Quality assurance (QA) has always been significant in the growth and stabilisation of academic programmes in higher education institutions. A greater emphasis is placed on QA which reflects outcome-based education. Thus, Tier 1 Training’s is designed to further develop human resources in QA field, particularly in applying the AUN-QA Framework.

The 11th AUN-QA Tier 1 Training’s coaches were:

  • Prof. Dr. Arnulfo P. Azcarraga (Lead Coach)
  • Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tan Kay Chuan (Coach)
  • Prof. Dr. Wyona C. Patalinghug (Coach)

Given the largely favourable response from the participants, the careful planning of this training with such talented coaches continued to showcase AUN-QA’s competency in continuing its mission to promote quality assurance in the ASEAN region.

The 11th AUN-QA Tier 1 Training was the third onsite operation since the beginning of 2022 and concluded as the last training conducted this year. In 2023, the AUN-QA will continue to work on enhancing its training and pursuing excellence to move towards a brighter future for higher education in the ASEAN region.
