The 13th AUN Rectors’ Meeting at Lao PDR

The 13th AUN Rectors’ Meeting was conducted in Vientiane, Lao PDR, at the Landmark Mekong Riverside Hotel, hosted by National University of Laos and co-hosted by the AUN Secretariat. In this year’s Meeting, eleven Presidents, Rectors, Vice Chancellors, and more than fifty representatives from twenty-eight AUN Member Universities across ten ASEAN Countries participated in the Meeting to discuss and share their good practices, analyses, initiatives, and recommendations on AUN-related projects, programs, and activities. 

The encompassing theme of this year’s Meeting is “University Excellence and the Next Frontiers of ASEAN Higher Education: How AUN Member Universities Think, Lead, and Manage”. During the Meeting, five topics regarding higher education in ASEAN were presented by the following speakers:

The speakers presented their leading practices, analyses, initiatives, and recommendations to all the representatives in the meeting. After the presentations, all participants in the meeting were given the opportunity to engage with the speakers in open sessions, allowing all participants to have a fruitful discussion regarding ASEAN Higher Education.

The resulting success of this year’s 13th AUN Rectors’ Meeting shared all the best practices and initiatives in the ASEAN region of higher education. All participants were able to learn how AUN Member Universities think, lead, and manage through all the recent AUN-related projects, programs, and activities.
