AUN Programme Officer;

After months of preparation, ASEAN University Network - Quality Assurance (AUN-QA) has officially been accepted as a Full Member of the International Network for Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education (INQAAHE) on 7 October 2022. This membership indicates a new achievement of AUN-QA to become a globally recognised quality assurance agency.

INQAAHE is the first quality assurance network established at the global level since 1991 that is active in the theory and practice of quality assurance. The mission of INQAAHE is to promote and advance excellence in higher education through the support of quality assurance agencies. Hence, every member agency has an opportunity to learn from its fellow members via a large database and discussion in order to understand, exchange, and adapt those insights to fit one’s organisation. By joining INQAAHE, AUN-QA can now gain access to the Good Practice database, which can be implemented in the projects of AUN-QA, and promote the events on INQAAHE’S website to expand the network into a wider community. Furthermore, AUN-QA Member Universities will be able to join INQAAHE events, such as the Biannual Conference, and Forum.

By joining INQAAHE, AUN-QA has made another achievement that is greatly valuable to the organisation. Along this pathway, AUN-QA will never stop moving forward in order to strengthen the quality assurance in higher education for AUN-QA Member Universities and share Quality Culture with other institutions in the region for a more effective ASEAN education system.
