AUN-QA Overview: An Exciting Return to Vietnam as AUN-QA Visited Lac Hong University and Hanoi University of Public Health for the 320th and the 321st Programme Assessment

AUN-QA returned to Vietnam for the first time in the year 2023 for the 320th and the 321st Programme Assessment.

Lac Hong University warmly welcomed AUN-QA for the 320th Programme Assessment from 7-9 March 2023. This marked the third programme assessment for Lac Hong University, but all the more joyous occasion it is, as the 320th Programme Assessment marked the first time AUN-QA’s assessors visited Lac Hong University on-site as well!

Hanoi University of Public Health also welcomed the team of AUN-QA’s assessors for the 321st Programme Assessment from 14-16 March 2023. The 321st Programme Assessment marked the fourth programme assessment for this institution which has been a trailblazer in providing education and training in public health for the Vietnamese public.

320th AUN-QA Programme Assessment at Lac Hong University (LHU)

The 320th AUN-QA Programme Assessment was carried out via an on-site visit for Lac Hong University from 7-9 March 2023. AUN-QA’s team of distinguished assessors had the pleasure of assessing four study programmes consisting of:

  1. Engineer of Automation and Control Engineering Technology
  2. Bachelor of Oriental Studies - Japanese Studies
  3. Engineer of Construction Engineering Technology
  4. Bachelor of Finance and Banking
  • Lac Hong University is a private university under the Ministry of Education and Training.
  • Founded in 1997, Lac Hong University is the first private university in Dong Nai province located in the Southern key economic zone of Dong Nai, Binh Duong, Ho Chi Minh City, and Ba Ria-Vung Tau. With its location in the thriving economic and industrial area, Lac Hong University was established to be the place where the provincial authorities can find high-quality and virtuous talents for the industrialization of the province and the Southern key economic zone, the expectation Lac Hong University has proudly taken on over the last two decades. The university now provides interdisciplinary and multi-level training through various programmes, from undergraduate to graduate education, with 22 majors offered through 10 faculties, and more than 8,000 students enrolled.
  • The 320th AUN-QA Programme Assessment marked the third programme assessment for Lac Hong University and the first programme assessment carried out on-site.

321st AUN-QA Programme Assessment at Hanoi University of Public Health (HUPH)

The 321st AUN-QA Programme Assessment was carried out via an on-site visit for Hanoi University of Public Health from 14-16 March 2023. AUN-QA’s team of distinguished assessors had the pleasure of assessing two study programmes consisting of:

  1. Master of Public Health Programme
  2. Master of Hospital Management Programme
  • Hanoi University of Public Health is a public university belonging to the Ministry of Education and Training, Vietnam.
  • Hanoi University of Public Health (HUPH) was established as the Vietnam Medical School on 20 May 1948. Since then, the university had seen its name changed several times until it received its current name on 26 April 2001. HUPH is the first university in Vietnam to provide education and training in public health. With 73 years of history and unrelenting development, HUPH now has spacious facilities, modern and advanced curricula, and qualified and enthusiastic lecturers from prestigious universities across the world. In particular, HUPH is the first university in the Health Sector to have training programs that meet the accreditation standards of AUN-QA for undergraduate programs (Bachelor of Public health) and Master programs (Master of Public Health and Master of Hospital Management).
  • The 321st AUN-QA Programme Assessment marked the fourth programme assessment carried out by AUN-QA for Hanoi University of Public Health.
