Special AUN-QA Feature: AUN-QA Conducts More Site Visits for the 308th Programme Assessment at the Philippines’ Top University, Ateneo de Manila University

The AUN-QA team is continuing strong with site visits for Programme Assessments! The 308th AUN-QA PA at Ateneo de Manila University, the Philippines was conducted on 6 - 8 December with three Programmes assessed. This marks the third time a site visit has been conducted ever since COVID lockdowns were relaxed quite recently. With three recently conducted within two months, AUN-QA is making sure to set a strong statement that site visits are back in full swing and they are ready for more in 2023!

Ateneo de Manila University (ADMU) was established in 1859 and obtained its University status in 1959, and is under the Philippine Commission on Higher Education. Times Higher Education has ranked ADMU as the top University of the Philippines and within the 351 - 400 bracket of the 2023 global list. Today, ADMU offers primary, secondary, undergraduate, and graduate education across their 12 schools. The Higher Education units comprises the the Ateneo Graduate School of Business (AGSB), the Ateneo Law School (ALS), the Ateneo School of Government (ASoG), and the Ateneo School of Medicine and Public Health (ASMPH), collectively known as the Ateneo Professional Schools, as well as the Loyola Schools. 

The Loyola Schools of ADMU is where undergraduates and graduates receive guidance towards their degrees. The Loyola Schools currently comprises five schools, the School of Humanities (SOH), the John Gokongwei School of Management (JGSOM), the School of Science and Engineering (SOSE), the School of Social Sciences (SOSS), and the Gokongwei Brothers School of Education and Learning Design (GBSEALD). Within the Loyola Schools, the AUN-QA team was there to provide assessments to 3 programmes, which are the following:

1. Bachelor of Arts in Management Economics
2. Bachelor of Science in Legal Management
3. Bachelor of Science in Management Information System

This is the 4th time AUN-QA has provided assessment to ADMU and the 3rd time to have a site visit. Since this is the first site visit ever since COVID Lockdown, that makes it a special occasion and we have a special video that highlights the best moments from the assessment!
