AUN-QA’s meetings with stakeholders: Exploring current QA prospects in Viet Nam

As the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) issued the Decision on recognising quality assurance activities of the AUN-QA in Vietnam, the AUN-QA has taken the opportunity to organise official on-site meetings with stakeholder organisations and partnered universities in Vietnam during 17 - 22 July 2022. The objective of this visit was to discuss the prospects of QA direction, share recent updates on QA development in the ASEAN region, and discuss further on possible collaboration in Viet Nam.

AUN-QA and MyQAN connect in promoting Higher Education quality assurance in Malaysia

AUN-QA, in collaboration with MyQAN, organised “AUN-QA An Introduction of Potentials and Prospects” virtually on 12 May 2022, 9.00-10.30 AM (GMT+7). The event garnered 61 attendees from MyQAN Member universities, public and private universities in Malaysia.

Sunrise on virtual cultural exchange as ASEAN-Japan student programme concludes

ASEAN-Japan Virtual Cultural Exchange Programme 2022 (AUN-SUN/SixERS Cross-Cultural Event) was successfully co-organised by the ASEAN University Network (AUN) and the Six Universities Network/International Education and Research System, Japan(SUN/SixERS) on 1 - 3 March 2022.

AUN-QA Overview: 259th, 260th & 261st AUN-QA Programme Assessments

Several of AUN-QA Programme Assessments has been accomplished over the second half of February – the beginning of March 2022, namely the 259th, 260th & 261st AUN-QA Programme Assessments respectively at Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU, HN), National Institute of Development Administration (NIDA) and Universitas Surabaya (UBAYA).

Mainstreaming interdisciplinarity: a commentary

There has been a constant increase in interest and development of interdisciplinarity. However, its essence and significance to the development of our society are still largely foreign to the general public. A call for raising awareness and understanding towards this outcome-based and integrated module of learning and knowledge creation is needed to garner support and make interdisciplinarity a vital part in education.
