The 3rd CALOHEA National Meeting took place on April 5-6, 2023, at the Laos-Japan Institute, Dong Dok Campus, National University of Laos, with over 180 participants from 12 institutions. The event discussed the future of higher education in Laos, including recognition mechanisms, internationalization, and curriculum development, and featured feedback on Authentic Assessment from subject area groups. The events also highlighted the importance of training and awareness-raising for educators to implement Authentic Assessment effectively.

At the 13th AUN Rectors’ Meeting, Dr. Nghiem Xuan Huy, Director of the Institute for Education Quality Assurance (INFEQA) of Viet Nam National University, Hanoi (VNU Hanoi), presented data strategies to utilize data to its maximum extent and boost its ability to complete high-impact missions. Because of the exponential growth in the magnitude of data, INFEQA developed the VNU Quality Assurance Portal to manage the quality assurance data and university ranking processes for VNU Hanoi and its member universities.

Following the absolutely packed presentations, discussions, and exchange of knowledge from speakers at the 3rd AUN International Health Promotion Conference, came three Signing Ceremonies that will ensure the future of ASEAN University Network - Health Promotion Network (AUN-HPN). Two MOUs were signed, one between ThaiHealth and AUN-HPN, and the second being the implementation of the HURS. The third signing ceremony was for the conference statement of AUN-HPN. All the signing will allow AUN-HPN to continue being the leading powerhouse for the health promotion movement in the ASEAN region.

The 3rd AUN International Health Promotion Conference, with the topic "Mental Health and Well-being of ASEAN Universities during the Post-COVID-19 Period: Awareness and Actions," was successfully held on 20 January 2023 in Thailand. Many prestigious ASEAN universities shared their protocols and experiences on health promotion in their universities as well as the countermeasures for mental health issues in the post COVID-19 period.

ASEAN University Network (AUN) will chair the Global University Associations Forum (GUAF) in 2023 and host the next physical GUAF meeting in Bangkok on 4-5 September 2023 with the main theme “Driving University Excellence Through Quality.”

The 37th ASEAN University Network Board of Trustees Meeting, hosted by the National University of Laos and co-hosted by the AUN Secretariat, was arranged on 28 September 2022. This year’s Meeting returned to its onsite format in Vientiane, Lao PDR. The Meeting concluded with the commitments to AUN's current regional and global engagements for the benefits of ASEAN higher education sector.
