AUN-QA as of today, stands as one of ASEAN’s strongest networks for QA practitioners that was established in 1998. Throughout over two decades of the network being in operation, it has laid the foundations of what is now known as the Assessor Training Workshop (AUN-QA Tier 2 Training) for AUN-QA Programme Assessment (PA) which began in 2013. Now in 2024, the workshop has seen 15 batches conducted for a total of 429 participants and in the 15th AUN-QA Tier 2 Training workshop, it was conducted alongside the 373rd AUN-QA Programme Assessment at Mahidol University, Thailand. During the workshop and PA, Associate Professor Dr. Tan Kay Chuan provided a speech that elaborated on the community effort in building AUN-QA assessors and how everyone in the community is on the same path towards quality assurance. Likening it to how it takes an entire village to raise a child, it indeed takes an entire QA community in ASEAN to raise even one single ASEAN assessor.
