AUN-QA Overview: 273rd, 274th & 275th AUN-QA Programme Assessments

Throughout the first half of May, AUN-QA has had the honour of delivering its quality assurance services to three universities in the 273rd, 274th & 275th AUN-QA Programme Assessments respectively at the University of Danang (UD), the University of Transport and Communications (UTC) and Universitas Katolik Indonesia Atma Jaya (UAJ).

  • 273rd AUN-QA Programme Assessment at the University of Danang (UD)
    • The 273rd AUN-QA Programme Assessment (Online/Remote Site Visit) was   held   at   UD, Viet Nam, from 9 – 13 May 2022. Four study programmes were assessed, namely:
      1. Advanced Program in Electronic and Communication Engineering (ECE)
      2. Advanced Program in Embedded Systems and Internet of Things (ES&IoT)
      3. Industrial Engineering and Management (IEM) Program
      4. Control Engineering and Automation (CEA) Program
    • Established in 1994, the University of Danang (UD) is one of Viet Nam’s leading multidisciplinary universities. Recognising challenges emerging from the rapidly-changing world, UD has opted for university-based and outcome-based education (OBE) in the restructuring of the university’s curriculum and assessment practices. This is to ensure the employability of UD’s graduates and the world-class quality of its programmes.
    • This was the university’s 8th Programme Assessment and its 3rd online/remote site visit Programme Assessment.
  • 274th AUN-QA Programme Assessment at the University of Transport and Communications (UTC)
    • The 274th AUN-QA Programme Assessment (Online/Remote Site Visit) was   held   at   UTC, Viet Nam, from 16 – 20 May 2022. Three study programmes were assessed, namely:
      1. Bachelor of Transport Construction Engineering
      2. Bachelor of Automotive Engineering
      3. Bachelor of Control Engineering and Automation
    • Officially established in 1945, UTC is a multidisciplinary higher education institution offering educational and training programmes in various academic areas. The university prioritises its mission to promote training, research and high-quality technology transfer in line with global integration and social liability to boost the sustainable development of the transport sector.
    • This was UTC’s 1st Assessment and its 1st online/remote site visit Programme Assessment.
  • 275th AUN-QA Programme Assessment at Universitas Katolik Indonesia Atma Jaya (UAJ)
    • The 275th AUN-QA Programme Assessment (Online/Remote Site Visit) was   held   at   UAJ, Indonesia, from 16 – 20 May 2022. Three study programmes were assessed, namely:
      1. Master in Management
      2. Bachelor of Management
      3. Bachelor of Accounting
    • Established in 1960 by the Atma Jaya Foundation, a group of young Christian intellects, UAJ aims to become a leading university with an academic and professional excellence which intertwines the Christian faith with science and technology. This vision is grounded in the context of Indonesia culture in its efforts to intellectually develop the society. According to UAJ, the university regards quality assurance as a way to improve its programme quality and prepare the graduate for this rapidly-changing world.
    • This was the university’s 2nd Programme Assessment and its 2nd online/remote site visit Programme Assessment.
