Welcoming More First Time Onsite Assessments, AUN-QA Overview: The 337th, 338th, 339th, 340th AUN-QA Programme Assessments

During COVID-19, AUN-QA has assessed many universities in an online or hybrid format. Now, it has been nearly one year since the pandemic has simmered down, allowing the return of onsite programme assessments. As a result, many universities that were assessed online during the peak of the pandemic are now rounding back to their turn once more, but this time being onsite, therefore bringing this continued influx of many universities having their first onsite programme assessment with AUN-QA!

337th AUN-QA Programme Assessment at Universitas Sam Ratulangi (UNSRAT)

  • The 337th AUN-QA Programme Assessment was held onsite at UNSRAT, Indonesia, from 25 - 27 July, 2023. Four study programmes were assessed, namely:

1. Undergraduate Program in Civil Engineering
2. Undergraduate Program in Management
3. Undergraduate Program in Accounting
4. Undergraduate Program in Fishery Product Technology

  • UNSRAT is under the Ministry of Research and Technology/National Research and Innovation Agency of Republic Indonesia
  • Established in 1965, Universitas Sam Ratulangi (Sam Ratulangi University) is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the rural setting of the medium city of Manado, North Sulawesi. Officially recognized by the Ministry of Research and Technology/National Research and Innovation Agency of Republic Indonesia. UNSRAT is a large coeducational Indonesian higher education institution which offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study. The university has a selective admission policy based on entrance examinations and students' past academic record and grades. The admission rate range is 20-30%. International applicants are eligible to apply for enrollment. UNSRAT also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, housing, sports facilities, financial aids and/or scholarships, study abroad and exchange programs, online courses and distance learning opportunities, as well as administrative services.

338th AUN-QA Programme Assessment at Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST)

  • The 338th AUN-QA Programme Assessment was held onsite at HUST, Viet Nam, from 25 - 27 July, 2023. Four study programmes were assessed, namely:

1. Advanced Programme in Biomedical Engineering
2. Undergraduate Programme in English for Science and Technology
3. Master of Science in Biotechnology
4. Master of Science in Mechatronics Engineering

  • HUST is under the Ministry of Education and Training, Vietnam
  • Established in 1956, Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST) is the first multidisciplinary technical university of Vietnam, plays an important role for supplying high quality human resources in modernization and industrialization revolution for the country. In the mission, the HUST commits to human development, high-quality training and innovation, research and knowledge transfer to serve our country and global society as a leading research university in Vietnam. In quality assurance, HUST has been accredited by the French High Council for the Evaluation of Research and Higher Education (HCERES) since 2017.

339th AUN-QA Programme Assessment at University of Medicine and Pharmacy at Ho Chi Minh City (UMP)

  • The 339th AUN-QA Programme Assessment was held onsite at UMP, Viet Nam, from 1 - 3 August, 2023. Four study programmes were assessed, namely:

1. Preventive Medicine (Undergraduate Education Programme)
2. Rehabilitation (Undergraduate Education Programme)
3. Nursing (Master of Science Programme)
4. Traditional Medicine (Master of Science Programme)

  • UMP is under the Ministry of Health
  • The University of Medicine and Pharmacy at Ho Chi Minh City (UMP) was founded in 1976. UMP has been recognized as one of the two strategic teaching institutions for higher education on health sciences in Vietnam, offering the most comprehensive training spectrum for health professionals. In the context of the new era in health science education, UMP with the role of a national leading education institution, is currently providing highly qualified healthcare personnel for the country and beyond. At the same time UMP also serves as a renowned research university of the country, and contributes significantly to the provision of excellent health care to our community.
  • This was UMP’s 3rd Programme Assessment and their 1st onsite Programme Assessment with AUN-QA.

340th AUN-QA Programme Assessment at Universitas Udayana (UNUD)

  • The 340th AUN-QA Programme Assessment was held onsite at UNUD, Indonesia, from 8 - 10 August, 2023. Four study programmes were assessed, namely:

1. Bachelor of Medicine and Medical Doctor
2. Bachelor of Architecture
3. Bachelor of Agribusiness
4. Bachelor of Hotel Management

  • UNUD is under the Ministry of Education
  • Udayana University (UNUD) offers 117 study programs where all graduate degrees are guaranteed by the Directorate of Higher Education, Indonesian Ministry of Education and Research. In early establishment, UNUD was a part of Univ Airlangga located in Bali Island, which was known as the Faculty of Letters. In 1962, it was transformed into Udayana University, comprising 4 faculties and recently harboring 14 faculties and 117 Study Programs. Udayana University seeks to be a leading university whose graduates reflect high potential and become the best amongst their generation as well as creating graduates who move further towards self-reliance; and will remain fully engaged with local indigenous knowledge and practices.
