It has been nearly a month since our last AUN-QA Programme Assessments overview, and the AUN-QA team has been continuing going strong for the month of September, 2023. For this week’s overview, we have five PAs to cover with universities from Viet Nam, The Philippines, and Thailand bringing along a wide variety of programmes for the AUN-QA team to assess. No matter the field of programme, the assessors of AUN-QA are always ready to provide top quality assessment!

The AUN-QA International Conference was last conducted in 2019, before the pandemic hit. Forward to now, 4 years later, it is back and bigger than ever at Bangkok, boasting over 400 participants and a truly international cast of speakers to enrich the dialogue at the conference on 6 - 7 September 2023! The International Conference was followed by two internal meetings, Assessors’ General Assembly and Chief Quality Officers’ Meeting, has shown that AUN-QA is back in full swing after the pandemic has died down. And they are fully prepared to continue growing internationally!

The last week of August is here and we will be moving to the final quarter of 2023 very soon. But before we move on to 2023’s last quarter, for the second half of August, the AUN-QA has an interesting line up of not just one or two Vietnamese universities, but three! In a row at that too! It is not often the Programme Assessments take place in one country in two consecutive weeks, but this is one of those times. Perhaps this should also be remembered as the Vietnamese PA Overview special?

The pathway of quality assurance has many challenges and plenty of roads to take, but which is the right one? How do we overcome the roadblocks in the way? AUN-QA has the answers. In just next week, the AUN-QA International Conference will be at full throttle! Come hear the speakers of this year’s AUN-QA IC guiding us all to the road of success in quality assessment and driving university excellence. We assure you that there will be plenty of experiences, good practices, and success stories going around!

Quality Assurance is not a small undertaking, how are we making sure our students are being provided education that are up to standards across ASEAN? We are responsible for developing our future generations to make sure the knowledge learned and skills acquired are up to the tasks of today’s current demands in the working world. That is why at this year’s AUN-QA IC, renowned QA experts and participants across the world will gather to showcase the best practices and share valuable experiences with each other. Let us make sure all our graduates are being provided education up to the best standards!

During COVID-19, AUN-QA has assessed many universities in an online or hybrid format. Now, it has been nearly one year since the pandemic has simmered down, allowing the return of onsite programme assessments. As a result, many universities that were assessed online during the peak of the pandemic are now rounding back to their turn once more, but this time being onsite, therefore bringing this continued influx of many universities having their first onsite programme assessment with AUN-QA!
